Kid 1: Weed

Weed is a 19 year old high school drop out who has a career “selling” things that earns him more money then I do. You don’t have to read too far between the lines to get my meaning here, do ya?

I don’t condone it.. don’t want to associate with it.. don’t want it anywhere near my house but apparently my thoughts about him and his life style don’t matter much.

Ironically, our relationship actually got better since he fell into what he fell into but I think that has more to do with him not trying to make waves :: for the obvious reasons :: then with actually respecting me.

The really sad part about Weed is that he’s a smart kid who had the proverbial tiger by the tail until November 2007.

Back then he was a few months shy of graduating high school. At the time, we knew he smoked alittle and probably drank some but we weren’t aware of the extent of his extra-curricular activities. Things really took a down ward spiral when he met his first serious girlfriend who turned out to be more of a pharmacy then Drug Emporium.

And so his life’s GPS pointed him on the road to addiction and all the fringe benefits that come with it. Arrest. Jail. Rehab. None of it worked.. in fact, I think the only lesson he learned was how to turn a profit while still skimming the product.

His lifestyle isn’t going to end well and my fear is that it’s going to take the whole family down when it does.
